Carranza Apartments

Year: 2021 | Location: Downtown Monterrey, N.L., Mexico | Typology: Multifamily housing | Team: Rodrigo Gastélum Garza and Daniela Martínez Chapa

A typical Northeastern architecture base is maintained, containing commerce linking to the sidewalk, while three housing units are erected above it. These follow the rhythm of the openings of the Northeastern style building, being mainly closed and introspective until reaching the corner to open completely through balconies. On the rooftop, there is a common space for the inhabitants.

Both the client and we consider that this scale is adequate for the densification of the Monterrey's center, being profitable at the same time.
