VP House

Year: 2020 | Location: San Pedro, NL, Mexico | Typology: Single-family home (Remodeling) | Team: Daniela Martínez Chapa and Rodrigo Gastélum Garza

The house had a language of thick white walls with wooden poles and an incidence of light that gave it a strong character. Understanding this atmosphere as a system, two terraces to the east and west of the house are remodeled. The east terrace turns to the mountains from a longitudinal pool and a fire pit that emphasize the symmetry, fleeing to the horizon.

The west terrace seeks to filter the view of the neighbors towards the house, this is done through cacti and a pergola that mitigates the sun, maintaining the language of the pre-existing polynes.
